Some people leave behind silence.
Others leave behind Torah.

Rabbi Natan Adler of blessed memory was the second kind.

Nine years have passed since he left Kiryat Tivon. Ask those who knew him and they will not say "we miss him". They will say "we still hear him": inside the Mishnah, inside the page, inside the moment when something suddenly makes sense that did not before.

That is how Torah learned out of love works: it does not end with the one who taught it.

On Monday, 15 Cheshvan (26.10.26), people gather at the Ayelet Hashachar Community Center for an evening of remembrance and study. A study session, completion of tractates and the evening prayer, all in his memory.

Not a ceremony. Not an event. Simply people who remember what a rabbi looks like who believes that everyone who walks into the room is the main character of their own story, coming to honor that in a way he would have recognized: an open page of Gemara.

The place guards him. The Torah carries him on.
