Ayelet Hashachar’s synagogue in Modiin is set to be a feature of the Kaiser neighborhood. Its tall glass windows and imposing structure are built with the intention of serving the growing community for many years to come. We pray that it will benefit those who have kindly donated to its building and to all those who come there to study and to pray.

Modiin –is a thriving model of the new Israeli city with over 75,000 residents, but it’s infrastructure for authentic Jewish living and education is almost nil.

Modiin Core Group Ayelet Hashachar has been running a community kollel in Modiin since 2001 comprising 11 families who live now within the community.

After receiving the brocha from HaRav HaGaon Aaron Leib Steinman, the beginnings of what started as a dream, began to take shape.

The initial excitement and hope that started with a stone setting ceremony on a cold and windy day, attended by local dignitaries including Rabbi Simcha HaKohen Kook of Rechovot was followed the official chanukat Habayit was held while the shul was still in it's early stages in March 2012 with Rabbi Zvi Ryzman delivering the oppening address.

Later, a marvelous Hachnosas Sefer Torah ceremony took place with hundreds of local residents enjoying from their windows and joining the procession towards the new building. Rav of Modiin HaRav David Lau, the newly appointed Ashkenazi Cheif Rabbi, joined the writing of the Sefer Torah together with Ayelet Hashachar's representatives and others. Once again, those who contributed to this once in a lifetime opportunity have great dividends in shamayim.
