5774 A BUMPER YEAR

2013 was a bumper year for Ayelet Hashachar with Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services held in over 65 places around Israel. Letters of appreciation have come pouring in from first timers and regulars alike.Many said they wouldn’t be prepared to miss next year’s Yom Kippur even asking about Succot !

KIBBUTZ NIR OZ -For the first time

This is the 2nd beautiful Yom Kippur held at Ramat Zvi with the participation of most of the yishuv. The kibbutz is situated between Kibbutz Ein Charod and Moledet in picturesque Northern Israel.

"After much deep thought and planning as to how to hold such an event in a way that would be fitting, either in someone’s home or even publicly, and despite the vote, we worked on finding a place that could comfortably hold 50 people without upsetting those members who were against the idea. We finally decided to erect a tent in my yard, ‘The Slichos Tent’." Michael Yedid, Kibbutz member.

KIBBUTZ NIR OZ -For the first time 30-40 people took part in a Yom Kippur Neilah service in the home of one of the local residents. Nir Oz was founded in 1955 by graduates of the Hashomer Hatzair and has over 170 members.

NOFIT - Celebrations were filled with joy as the community of Nofit enjoyed the fun for a second day of Simchat Torah this year.

Pioneer Museum in Yfat Synagogue Chanukat Habayit

24th October 2013 promises to be a great day in the history of the Pioneer Museum at Kibbutz Yfat as they celebrate the Chanukat Habayit of the reconstructed old synagogue at Gvat which has been out of use since the 1930’s.
