Nir Meir secretary the of the kibbutz Movement announced: "Let's start praying"
Hundreds of people attended the dedication of the Schul and Sefer Torah at Kibbutz Kerem Sholom on Thursday, 26 April 2018. Attendees came from the Kibbutzim near Gaza and Egypt, and included among others: Minister of Agriculture, Uri Ariel who donated the Sefer Torah, 50 students from a religious pre-military academy headed by Rav Rafi Peretz (Former IDF Rabbi), and Mr. Meir Mir, Secretary for the whole Kibbutz movement in Israel. AH dedicated the schul in memory of a very special man, Mr. Irving Moscowitz OBM. Everyone was very moved by Secretary Mir’s talk when he shared that this was the first time in his life he danced with a Sefer Torah. Now that they Kerem Sholom had both a Schul and a Sefer Torah, he urged the Kibbutz members to participate in davening on L’eil Shabbos and Shabbos morning. He continued that even if they might be uncomfortable, about participating when requested they should make the minyan. Please enjoy the movie of the dedication at this link:

CHAVRUTA PROJECT WITH EDUCATIONAL PROFESSIONALS
The end of Nissan and the month of Iyar include Yom HaShoa, Yom Hazikaron, Yom Hatzmaut and Yom Yerushalayim – a propitious time to discuss our Jewish identity, the problems facing Jews and the common thread binding us all together. And so AH gathered together principals, other educational professionals and Talmeidei Chachamim at various universities, schools and community centers throughout Israel to discuss and experience the beauty of our Jewish tradition. It opened a whole new dialogue among the participants—in effect opened a pipeline through which ideas will continue flow and relationships among the participants, G-d willing, will flourish.

May their enthusiasm and dedication succeed tripe fold!

RETIRED ANGLO RABBIS ARE NOW LIVING IN ISRAELI SECULAR COMMUNITIES
Among these Rabbis is Rabbi Oppenheimer originally from Queens now living in a Yishuv known as Lavon, just north of Karmiel. He, his wife and family are the only Shomer Shabbos individuals on the Yishuv. Against all odds and in a very short time he now has a regular minyan every Shabbos. Please see his two articles attached chronicling their experience—truly heartwarming.
