It has been a difficult time for Klal Yisrael. Every part of Israeli society has been affected. Since 8 October Ayelet Hashachar has been working day and night to make a difference wherever we can, whenever we can.

THE HOSTAGE CENTER

Every evening in central Tel Aviv families of the hostages gravitate to Ayelet Hashachar’s Tent of Unity and Prayer to receive comfort and strength. Just this last Thursday afternoon the families of the hostages were strengthened through the song and tefillos of women from across Israel. Later Thursday evening Musician Nimrod Lev inspired the crowds until midnight - they just didn’t want to go home! Motzei Shabbat will see another Melaveh Malka of thousands of jews from the entire spectrum of Israeli society uniting together with the families. Yishai Lapidot and Natan Goshen will be raising their hopes and giving them encouragement through moving prayer and song. The Ayelet Hashachar tent has become the hostage families home and safe place as they try to survive during this terrible, terrible time.

On Sunday Ayelet Hashacahar has arranged a special trip for the hostage families. We will be traveling to Meron to give them the opportunity to pour their hearts out in tefillah at the Kever of Rebbi Shimon Bar Yochai. We will be passing through Bnei Brak to the House of Rav Chaim Kanievsky Zt”l where we will begin writing a sefer Torah in the merit of the safe return of their loved ones.

NEW SHULS

Another intense war time project of Ayelet Hashachar is the building of shuls across Israel. One of our many exciting projects is the building of a shul on the base of the Navy Seals. We want to reach everyone wherever they are. A new shul is also being built in Keidar Darom (near Maaleh Adumim) and Durit.

DISPLACED FAMILIES

Tens of thousands of families from the North and the South are still stranded living in small rooms at hotels and spread out across the country. Ayelet Hashachar has begun renting apartments for some of the displaced Ayelet Hashachar activists to try and alleviate the stress and difficult conditions that some of these families are going through and give them the ability to continue their work assisting and giving strength to the members of their displaced communities. Whether they be from Shlomi, Ya’ara, Ben Ami or many other yishuvim - we are here for them.

MEZUZAH INITIATIVE

Ayelet Hashacahar has embarked on a revolutionary project - fixing mezuzot on the new or temporary homes of the survivors of the communities from the Gaza envelope. Wherever they are in the country we are offering them the protection and security they are so yearning for.
