Triple Torah Celebration for Three Different Locations
This evening at 5pm "Ayelet Hahshachar" will celebrate Hachnasat Sefer Torah in Yeshuv Tzofit.
Tomorrow at 5pm "Ayelet Hashachar" will celebrate Hachnasat Sefer Torah at Moshav Ramat Tzvi near Ein Charod.
On Sunday at 4:30pm "Ayelet Hahsachar" will celebrate Hachnasat Sefer Torah in Kibbutz Maayan Baruch. This location is unique since it sits on the Lebanon border next to the very location where 16 years ago the helicopter crash happened and 73 young soldiers were killed. My name is Elinor Matalon and I am the person that writes these mailings for Ayelet Hashachar.
16 years ago I was serving in the IDF's special victims unit. We had to work 48 hours nonstop to inform the families and set the funerals. This day of bringing Torah to Kibbutz Maayan Baruch, after the 16th Yortzait of the helicopter crash, comes in between two meaningful Parashot of Matan Torah and has a special meaning for me. Pasuk כ"ח talks about the צרעה that Hashem promised he will sent to defend us from our enemies. May the צרעה always save our soldiers and help us to avoid the use of the mechanical צרעה also known as a helicopter.
