Meetings between members of our Women’s Chavruta Division and 480 young secular students (120 at a time) from Kibbutzim and Moshavim in the south of Israel. These meetings promote an extraordinary dialogue between the secular students and religious Jews, and have been very successful. All in attendance thus far expressed the desire to meet again and to learn more.
“Krovim R’hokim,”bringing near those who are far away, is a course being taught by Riki Siton (head of our Women’s Chavruta Division) at the College of Emek Yezreel (Valley of Jezreel in north central Israel). The course introduces secular Jews to religious Jews and to Judaism in general.
A Tour of the Kosel (Western Wall), for our learning partners from all over Israel who have never met in-person: a perfect opportunity for them to come together and share an inspiring day in the Jewish Quarter/Rova/the Old City of Jerusalem. The event on 3-December 2014 includes: a guided tour of the Kosel "Western Wall," home hospitality in the Rova, rousing personal stories from residents of the Rova, refreshments and musical entertainment.
2 fabulous “getaways”for religious women who are interested in participating in our outreach/chavruta programs in which they will learn different subjects in Judaism and how to approach those topics: 29-31 December 2014 at Hotel Kinnar by the Sea of Galilee and 9-10 February 2015 at Hotel Chofetz Chaim, south of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, near Hamei Yoav Hot Springs.
