Hundreds participated in the Modiin Community Kollel event addressed by newly-elected Chief Rabbis Lau and Yosef, in anticipation of the congregation's move to its newly-built synagogue.

The meeting was held to show support and appreciation for the Kollel Torah Center and its services to the community, as well as to note its needs.

Combined with a festive and sumptuous Tu B'shvat meal, the Chief Rabbis' words were both inspiring and strengthening.

Ayelet Hashachar's Community Kollel in Modiin, established 11 years ago, has grown in leaps and bounds. Its aim is to provide an environment where secular and religious meet under one roof to share and understand their cultural heritage. Within the coming months, the community kollel is to take up residence in its newly-built synagogue in the Kaiser neighborhood of Modiin. It is the only center of its kind in this blossoming young Israeli city.
