Ayelet HaShachar in Germany
Rav Raanan went to Berlin the week of 1-November 2015 to meet with Israelis who are living there. Currently, Berlin’s Israeli population numbers in excess of 70,000. He spent several days just getting to know as many Israelis as he could, listening to them and finding out what how they could benefit from Ayelet HaShachar. With G-d’s help, Ayelet Hashachar plans to build a Kiruv Center that will to connect Israelis with each other and back to their Jewish Roots. Ayelet Hashachar will send a religious family to live there, direct and staff the center. Rav Raanan is currently looking for just the right family to do that.

Celebrating Chanukah: Hanukas HaBayit and Hachnasas Sefer Torah in 3 Kibbutzim
With G-d's help we will be celebrating 3 Hanukas HaBayit (dedication of synagogues) and Hachnassas Sefer Torah (dedication of Torah) in three secular Kibbutzim:
(1) Sde Boker (in the Negev Desert) HaTenoa'a HaKibbutzit (member of "Kibbutz Movement"), best known as the retirement home of Prime Minister David Ben Gurion.
(2) Kfar Menachem (in south-central Israel). Arabs destroyed the Kibbutz in the 1936 Arab Revolt. Upon its reestablishment in 1939, members of Hashomer Hatzair settled there.
(3) Kibbutz Dovrat is located in northern Israel near Afula. Founded in 1947 it was also part of the “Kibbutz Movement".
This is a momentous/groundbreaking event for all three Kibbutzim!

Kibbutz Be’eri and Beit Berl University
What do Kibbutz Be’eri in the Negev near Gaza and Beit Berl University in Kfar Saba
have in common? Two things: (1) the name of after Berl Katznelson (whose Hebrew name was “Be’eri”), and (2) both will have a Sefer Torah and a Synagogue! Berl Katznelson made Aliyah from Russia in 1909 and went on to be the intellectual founder of Labor Zionism, the Histadrut and the State of Israel. One of his strong beliefs: one can maintain his past, his heritage while forging new pathways for the future. Through Ayelet HaShachar Be’eri’s belief is now actualized:
- Two months ago, Ayelet HaShachar had a Hachnassas Sefer Torah in Kibbutz Be’eri with Chief Rabbi David Lau (Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi of Israel) officiating.
- On Chanukah Ayelet HaShachar has planned a Hachnassas Sefer Torah at Beit Berel in Kfar Saba.

Mezuzah Project
In Africa, Asia, South America, the Solomon Islands, etc. Ayelet HaShachar put Hebrew advertisements in various papers offering free Mezuzahs to any Jew living in those areas. The Mezuzah comes with explanation of how to affix it to the doorposts, and other Laws of Mezuzah as well as the names and telephone numbers of people who can explain those laws. Through this project we have been able to reach Jews who live “far away” and have no affiliation. The ultimate goal of the program is to link these Jews with learning partners through the Chavruta Project in Israel. We have received emails from all over the world including the Dominican Republic, Vietnam, Bolivia, and many more countries where Jews responded and requested Mezuzahs and further assistance!
