OUR SIYUM WITH RAV CHAIM KANIEVSKY SHLITA!
We made a Siyum on Mesechet Shevi’it with Rav Kanievsky in his home! Shevi'it (Hebrew: שביעית, lit. "Seventh Year") is the fifth tractate of Seder Zeraim ("Order of Seeds") of the Mishnah and of the Talmud. It deals with all laws of allowing the land to lie fallow in the seventh year, the laws of shmitta produce (the shmitta year now ending before Rosh Hashanah) and the remission of debts. It also discusses the 50th year, known as Jubilee (Yovel), when allIsraelite slaves must be set free, and all land must be returned to its original owner. Rav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita gave the Kollelim of Ayelet HaShachar a shiur on the laws of the Yovel arousing and encouraging us to turn our attention to the 50th year!

“Unetane Tokef”
The Article below ("pov.pdf") describes Rav Raanan's journeys throughout Emek Yisroel (the Valley of Jezreel) with Chief Rabbi Dovid Lau and Ayelet Hashachar's work strengthening the residents for Rosh Hashanah. During our journey we were honored to have Hanoch Albleck sing "Unetane Tokef," the famous prayer we all say on Rosh Hashanah, which brought people listening to tears. The melody was composed after the Yom Kippur War by Yair Rozenblum, and sung especially in memory of the eleven people from Kibbutz Beit Hashita killed during that war. Please watch this moving moment:
