Another first for Ayelet Hashachar: Torah study sessions in Israeli kibbutzim to celebrate and commemorate the holiday of Shavuot. Ayelet Hashachar is sending Rabbis to spend the holiday in various kibbutzim to share their knowledge with unaffiliated Israelis.

Kibbutznikim are well-acquainted with the concept of the Harvest Festival, connected as they are to the land, but this Shavuot will be the first time they will be able to study this aspect of Shavuot, and others, from Biblical texts.

Study includes the Scroll of Ruth - which deals with concepts such as kindness, agriculture, gifts to the poor, and much more - as well as other interesting subjects on the night of this unique festival.

This will be yet another opportunity for sharing knowlege and building relationships between religious and secular Jews in Israel.
